This course was developed as part of the Arkansas Perinatal Quality Collaborative’s obstetric emergency preparedness initiative. Over 60% of Arkansas counties do no have a hospital with obstetric services; because of this, emergency department staff often become the front line for managing obstetric emergencies. This training is focused on preparing clinicians to manage precipitous birth and common delivery complications in the emergency setting.
