This training is designed for clinical and administrative staff involved in implementing the “I Gave Birth” initiative at their facility. You'll learn how the program works, how to integrate it into discharge and follow-up processes, and your role in improving postpartum safety through consistent identification and support of postpartum patients.

This course meets the training requirements in the AIM Postpartum Discharge Transition Bundle on why and how to screen for life-threatening postpartum complications.

This brief training is for support staff who interact with patients after delivery. You’ll learn what the “I Gave Birth” initiative is, why it matters, and how you can help reinforce its purpose by recognizing the bracelet and supporting patient safety during the postpartum period.

Note: If you are part of the maternity care team responsible for giving bracelets and educating patients (for example, labor & delivery or postpartum staff), please take the Implementing IGB module instead, as it includes all the content in this module plus detailed implementation guidance.

This training introduces the Proactive Postpartum Call Center and is intended for maternity care providers and hospital staff who talk with patients about the program. Learn how the call center works, why it matters, and how you can help patients connect with this important follow-up care after birth.
